Welcome
Saint Paul College—A Community & Technical College proposes an institutional change and peer review process for online program approval and online program review through the Minnesota Online Council. This change will promote the development and effectiveness of online programs, encourage increased enrollment and improve student services for the College. This request extends and sustains the College’s accreditation status enabling the College to offer a fully online format in current programs of study: Associate of Arts, Associate of Science and Associate in Applied Science.
Saint Paul College has a strong history of supporting and serving students, staff, and faculty through online educational opportunities. It was among the first institutions in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system to offer a fully online assessment battery through its Assessment Center, and was also the first college to offer assessments for English Language Learners online. The College continues to move productively to position itself to deliver quality online instruction. Increased online course offerings, faculty development, financial support, continued expansion of online student services, the adoption of electronic portfolios and Desire2Learn, along with the use of the Worldwide Instructional Design System (WIDS) for implementation of course and program development, have all contributed to this growth. This institutional change will allow the College to continue to serve students and expand educational options by providing a set of complete online programs and services in areas that continue to experience consistent growth. This change will not only maximize course flexibility and convenience for current students but will provide greater access to students of all ages. Welcome!
